Information on how to use a Canadian birth certificate or marriage certificate in Norway

In order for a Canadian document such as a Birth or Marriage Certificate to be accepted for use in Norway it must be authenticated and legalized. This means that it must first be authenticated by Global Affairs Canada in Ottawa. If applying yourself and outside Ottawa this could result in a processing time of up to 25 business days. Using our service we can shorten this to as quickly as 1 day guaranteed. Find out more about our authentication of document services.

Legalization of Documents at the Embassy of Norway in Ottawa

Once we have authenticated your document it is now ready to be legalized by the Royal Norwegian Embassy located in Ottawa. We submit your document in person meeting with the consular staff on your behalf to make sure all is correctly prepared. As the consular section is usually able to provide fast legalization service we will meet with them for a quick confirmation of legalization usually the next day upon which your document is now ready to be used in Norway.

If you need Authentication and Legalization or information about Apostille in Norway we can help.
