Global Affairs Canada Authentication Services Section will only accept Canadian signatures. The contents of the document are not reviewed or approved by them. That said it may not be possible to Authenticate a particular document if the content is misleading or believed that it is to be used for a fraudulent purpose. You will be advised by Global Affairs Canada if this is the case with your document. In order to Authenticate a signature, the spelling of the name of the person must be provided or the signature legible. Photocopies of some original documents can be processed for Authentication. However, the document must be a Notarized true copy, signed and sealed by a Canadian notary.
